These Web pages are from the NCIP online workshop held from January 12-February 23, 1998, facilitated by Joy Zabala. The discussion forums have been archived and are available for browsing and reading.   This workshop used LotusNotes for conferencing software.

SETT is an acronym which stands for the following: S=Student, E=Environment, T=Tasks, T=Tools. Joy Zabala, the workshop facilitator, is the creator of the SETT Framework. The goal of the framework is to guide teachers, specialists, clinicians, and parents to work together collaboratively to select assistive technology for an individual student who has disabilities.

Features of this workshop included an interactive framework to simulate SETT and an online survey for participants to reach consensus on the important issues raised by the case study.
