1. Taking into account gender - and the disparities and opportunities that
gender presents in particular situations - to support students in achieving
their dreams and/or exploring options that they may not consider BECAUSE OF
their gender.

2. Replace "gender" with "race/ethnicity"

3. Replace "gender" with "disabilities"

Subject: [EDEQUITY] Quick survey on equity

Dear Colleague,

The Gender and Science Digital Library project (GSDL) at Education
Development Center, Inc. (http://www.edc.org/GDI/GSDL) would like to enlist
your help in developing this educational resource. The primary objective of
the GSDL is to create a high-quality, interactive and user-friendly library
of K-12, higher education, women's studies, and teacher preparation
resources for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM)
disciplines.

We are interested in identifying what the following phrases about "equity"
mean to you? Please keep your responses to each of the phrases no more
than five words.

1. Gender equity
2. Equity for people with disabilities
3. Equity for people of all ethnicities

Thank you for your contribution and we look forward to receiving your
feedback.
