"Title IX of the Education Amendments was passed by Congress and signed
into
law by President Nixon in 1972--30 years ago. To commemorate the occasion,
AGELE--the Association for Gender Equity Leadership in Education (formerly
NCSEE) will present a salute to Title IX at its annual July conference in
San Diego. The planning committee for the Salute is extending an open
invitation for those who care to participate to send a memory, reflection,
or some other comment about how Title IX has affected them personally to
the committee. Submissions will be read at the conference. Please be
