I find this discussion interesting to a point. Recent discussions and
writings on this topic discuss the difference between what teachers see
and want as parent involvement, in opposition to what parents define or
want parent involvement to mean. Often the kind of parent involvement
that parents would like to have, educators are defensive or resistant to
that involvement. (and I'm an educator who listens to parent
complaints)
