A question was:

In my discussions with teachers and administrators it is clear that
signficant attention is being devoted to helping schools and teachers
focus on standards which in Maine are known as Learning Results. My
observation is that in this standards movement there is little, if any
attention, paid to gender issues. Have others been successful in
building a rationale for a focus on gender equity in order to support
students' achievement of Learning Results?
