EGYPT: Sesame Street To Focus On Gender Equality

A version of an American children's television show, Sesame Street, is
to be broadcast in Egypt emphasizing gender equality, BBC Online reports.
Puppet characters will deliver messages on health, hygiene and the
    environment.
The characters are primarily designed to inspire girls in a country
where many live in rural areas and drop out of school as young as 8 or 9,
and where about 2% of parliamentarians are women, according to the United
    Nations.
