One of the best resources I have found to date dealing with equity in
schools
is entitled "Beyond Heros and Holidays." It analyzes content of the
classroom for bias relating to different types of oppression, gender being
one. It goes deeper than the typical unit of study. Furthermore, it
helps
develop a classroom pedagogy that is transformative rather than
domesticating.
