Yes, there have been a couple women in the sciences (except physics where
there have been no female winners) in the last 100 years. Go to the web
site www.nobelprize.org if you want their exact names and numbers. Most of
the women won well before the civil rights movement of 1964 - to illustrate
how little distance we have come.
