We are looking at physics and chemistry for we know women are represented
in literature, peace, and medicine (they've become doctors as well as
nurses). On their web site, www.nobelprize.org, they do not list any women
in physics. You did not mention that this is over the past 100 years, in
other words, 2% in chemistry. Additionally, as you will note, most women
winners occurred before the civil rights movement of 1964. If anything, we
have regressed in physics and chemistry.
