For Your Information: GESA Reunion and Advanced GESA Training!
Coronado Island Marriott Resort
San Diego, California
February 27 - March 3, 2002

The training is designed for people who have attended the GESA
teacher workshop series or three day GESA Facilitator training. This
is not a basic GESA training. Participants should have a working
understanding of the GESA principles and process.
Proposed Discussion Topics Include:
Alignment with Inquiry-based Instruction
Accountability & Performance Gaps
Unit Review
Tips for Curriculum Focus Areas
Presentation Tips
Assessment of GESA Effectiveness
Dealing with "Hot" Topics

Additional activities and presentations may include participant exchange of
GESA experiences, reports on the status of equity at the Federal, State,
and Local levels, suggestions for proposal writing and funding sources,
suggested changes and revisions for the 4th edition of the GESA
Teacher Handbook. The training will be held at the beautiful Marriott
Resort on located on the water at Coronado Island in San Diego. It will
begin the
afternoon of the 27th and end the morning of the 3rd. Cost for the
four days of training, updated materials, and most meals will be $450.
