(Responding to a comment on EdEquity Now Dialogue,May 20-31, 2002, in
particular to the issue to Equity competencies for educators)

I am just now getting to responding to a bunch of e-mail that I have had on

hold and this one popped up. NAPE, the National Alliance for Partnerships
in
Equity, a consortium of state educational agencies, has developed a
document
of equity standards that really focuses on the educational system -
including
educators. I would be happy to send you a copy or you can access it on our
website at www.napequity.org. I would be interested in hearing what you
think
of the work. Many states have used them for in service training and some
have
adopted them for program improvement purposes.
