United Airlines Hires First Black Woman Pilot

Melissa Ward has become United Airlines' first black woman captain.
Currently, United employs more than 600 women and 500 people of color.
In an interview, Ward commented that she didn't "want to be the last." "That
would be a tragedy," she said.
