Yes I absolutely agree. There is absolutely nothing regarding the women you
mention. I also very much agree that when we speak of biased curriculum we
most also address the racial under representation. However the school
district in where we live is at least 95% white and I have not really
ventured into the question of racial biases because if they can't even accept
the question of women they could much less accept anything else...
but I DO very often bring it up with the letters, phone calls and meetings I
have with school representatives. The question is NEVER far from my mind and I
everything possible to include the issue. One question: Pocahontas being of
native American descent is referred to as a woman of color?
