The U.S. Department of Labor Women's Bureau invites you to participate in
an historic hearing focusing on EQUAL PAY FOR WOMEN. Secretary of Labor
Alexis Herman has been invited to join Bureau Director Irasema Garza on
Monday, May 8, 2pm - 5pm, at Boston's Park Plaza Hotel for this public
    hearing.

The Year 2000 marks the 80th anniversary of a woman's right to vote in
America. While the status of American women improved greatly during the
20th century, working women in the United States are still only earning
approximately 75 cents to the dollar that men earn while minority women
earn even less. The Women's Bureau wants to hear your stories of unequal
    pay.

If you are interested in testifying or attending this hearing, contact the
    Women's Bureau at 800/518-3585 or 617/565-1988.
