    2000 Forum on Educational Equity
    July 25, 2000

    The American Association of University Women (AAUW) Educational Foundation
    will sponsor the second annual Forum on Educational Equity on July 25,
    2000.
    Developed in conjunction with the Foundation's annual Eleanor Roosevelt
    Teacher Institute in Washington, D.C., this forum for teachers, counselors,
    administrators, and other school personnel features the latest research and
    best practices in gender equitable education. For a registration form,

    Keynote Speaker: Dr. Blenda Wilson,president and CEO of the Nellie Mae
    Foundation, one of the largest charitable organizations in New England
    focused on
    improving K-12 education

    Panel discussion: "Educational Horizons 2010: The Importance of Educational
    Equity in the Changing Landscape of Public Education," including leaders
    such as Dr. Daniel A.
    Domenech, superintendent, Fairfax County Public Schools, Fairfax, Virginia

    Research: Learn about the AAUW Educational Foundation's latest report, Tech
    Savvy: Educating Girls in the New Computer Age

    Presentations: Meet former Eleanor Roosevelt Teacher Fellows who have
    transformed lives through their successful projects

    Project Gallery: View 2000-2001 Eleanor Roosevelt Teacher Fellows' projects

    Network: Speak with outstanding educators from around the country and learn
    about the Eleanor Roosevelt Teacher Fellowship program and the AAUW
    Educational Foundation's funding opportunities

    A registration fee of $120, or $100 per person for teams of four or more,
    covers all sessions, a luncheon, and a copy of Tech-Savvy: Educating Girls
    in the New Computer Age. Receive a 10 percent discount for registration by
    June 1, 2000. Space is limited. Continuing education credit may be
    available for eligible participants.
