One such model in which I have been involved with for the past four
years is the Equity in Mathematics Education Leadership Institute
directed by Julian Weissglass at the University of California, Santa
Barbara. This now falls under the umbrella organization "National
Coalition for Equity in Education (NCEE). Although it says
Mathematics, it is not solely focused on math rather, a much
broader perspective and experience.
Leadership institutes are held at different times throughout the year.
Also, in Colorado, the Colorado Coalition for Equity in Education is
hosting a version of the above institute.
