This Annual Institute is for state and local administrators and

of education and workforce development programs. The institute's focus this

year is on equity in the national agenda. The conference will have sessions

on: the implementation of the nontraditional employment and training
provisions and accountability in the Perkins Vocational Education Act;

and access issues in the Workforce Investment Act; developing a strategy
for
the reauthorization of Welfare; and successful strategies sessions. More

A Resource for Women, Financial Aid 6th edition by Julie Kuhn Ehrhart and
Amanda Lepof
Explains different types of federal grant and loan programs, describes
specific independent scholarships, and directs students on how to apply for
such aid, many specifically for women. Also suggest web sites and
publications that offer even more detailed information and detailed
information and offers map of how to find most resources of potential
financial aid. Guides the reader on how and where to begin, how to find
information about different colleges, and how to pay for education.

Scholarships:

The Coca-Cola Corporate Intern Program is offering 50 minority
college juniors summer internships. This is an eight week program
in either Atlanta, Columbia MD, Chicago, Dallas or Irvine CA.
Each student will receive a $5,000 stipend plus a $2,000 housing
allowance and transportation allowance and will be eligible for
a $10,000 scholarship upon completion. Application deadline
