[EDEQUITY] Title IX and Single Gender Classes

Would like opinions or anecdotes from anyone knowledgeable about the
balance between Title IX requirements and projects to ameliorate past
traditions of gender inequities in enrollment.

We have a high school project that is trying to increase female
enrollment, participation, and completion in information technology
courses. They have 3 classes reserved for females students, although the
courses are also available to males and females in mixed classes as
well. The 3 "project" classes are offering the same credit, and also
doing some adaptations aimed at maintaining high interest among girls.

Is this legal?

If not, if "project" classes admit boys who specifically request
admission, is it legal?

Are there other issues that we should be aware of?

Any illumination will be greatly appreciated.
