BOOK: Many areas of law
IN THE NEW ISSUE OF SECOND ANNUAL GEORGETOWN REVIEW OF GENDER AND
SEXUALITY LAW,there will be an article on sexual harassment in education in
the education law section, and a separate Title VII law and sexual
harassment in the employment law section of the Second Annual Review of
Gender and Sexuality Law, which we expect will be sent out by the
printer in 3 weeks. The book itself is basically a 650-page
reference book covering many areas of the law comprehensively, with 3000
detailed footnotes. To order, please call Nerissa Phillips at 202-662-9468
and specify that you want to order the SECOND annual review, about to be
released. The cost is $15.

JOB POSTING:
Applicants sought for National Coordinator position for Jubilee USA
Network, the newly reformed Jubilee 2000 USA.

Jubilee USA Network is made up of a wide range of organizations including
faith-based, labor, solidarity, development and volunteer groups working
to break the chains of debt. We call for cancellation of the crushing and
illegitimate debts of impoverished countries, without IMF and World Bank
conditionality, but with full accountability to civil society in each
country. We are part of the global Jubilee movement now active in more
than 65 countries.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate all elements of the campaign, oversee day-to-day work
- Assume the primary responsibility of outreach to member organizations
and facilitate outreach to new members by the Network Council
- Work effectively with the Coordinating Committee (to whom the
Coordinator will report) staff and Network Council in duties such as:
implementation of approved strategies and programs, program oversight and
evaluation and long-term planning.
- Function as head of staff, including hiring, retention and supervision
- Lead the fund-raising efforts of the organization and work with Network
Council members on fund-raising, with the goal of increasing funding to
meet the network's needs
- Maintain appropriate contacts with Jubilee South, other global
partners, the US administration, Congress, and the international
financial institutions.
- Assume the primary responsibility of outreach to member organizations
and facilitate outreach to new members by the Network Council
- Be a primary spokesperson for the Network
QUALIFICATIONS
 - Be deeply informed about the issue of debt in impoverished countries
- Three years experience in NGO work in a supervisory capacity
- Strategic and analytical thinking ability
- Skills in building strong and diverse coalitions
- Respect for diversity and the ability to work with a variety of people
and organizations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good listener and the ability to mediate between different points of
view.
- Willingness to travel as necessary in the work of the organization
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Team player
Responsibilities may change with the input of staff and Coordinating
Committee, as the network evolves over time. Position is based in
Washington, DC. Salary range is $40,000-50,000, based on need and
experience, plus benefits. Application deadline target is June 1, but
applications accepted until position is filled. Target
start date is mid-July. Women, people of color, and noncitizens are
