Hello EdEquity Members:
This week we begin our discussion on Technology and Equity issues. As a
way to start discussion, I propose a few questions to consider --please
feel free to add to these and post your thoughts.
1. How are school administrators/teachers handling the integration of
technology/gender issues in their schools and in the classroom.?
2. What are some model programs and research that have equal benefits for
both girls and boys interested in technology as a career?
3. How can we address the lack of females participation in computer design,
use and application as a professional career choice?
These are but a few questions to start our discussion on technology and
how it impacts socially and educationally on girls and women. So let's
begin!
