Yesterday was International Nonsexist Education Day in Latin America and
the
Caribbean!
The Grassroots Women's Education Network declared June 21 International
Nonsexist Education Day in 1989. Members of this network have designed and
implemented a number of initiatives over the years that promote women's and
girls' right to a democratic education, free of stereotypes, that promotes
full participation in the family and work worlds, as well as in public
spaces.
