Gender Equity doesn't mean everyone is equal and thus should get the same
thing,especially when the same thing is the thing that works best for
males.
However,many people have a hard time grasping this concept. Thus they will
say, no
of course we can't do something only for girls -- that would be unfair.

One strategy IWITTS has used successfully is to ask schools to count their
numbers,how many girls vs. boys are in their occupational technology
classes such as
engineering, computer programming, telecommunications, etc.

your case and moves from the theoretical to the practical.
