It's very interesting to me that much of this dialogue has been a
theoretical discussion regarding technology, including the dangers
of technology and it's negative aspects for females and males. Very
little discussion was about how to get women interested in technology.

To some degree, I think the presumption has been that technology is
bad, on some level, because it's male defined. Thus we don't need
to worry so much about getting women engaged in technology, instead
we should redefine technology so it's more inclusive.

Well, where does that leave women and girls in the interim? What
do we do to make sure that the digital divide isn't so large that we can't
bridge it?

If women participate in technology they will change it's nature.
Lets make sure women show up at the table so that it is changed.
Lets move from a theoretical discussion to a practical one on how
to do it. In my opinion the best way to make sure technology works
for women is to ensure they are part of it's creation.

I want women to be empowered by technology and to be empowered
to use and create it. We have to figure out how to make sure that
all women and girls have this opportunity.
