This message is a respond to a question during the EdEquity Dialogue with
the Experts on Technology and Equity, July 16-20, 2001.

Glad you enjoyed the discussion. The only stats I have for African-American
females are as follows:
Percentage of AP Computer Science Test Takers, 1999
African American women were 10% of women taking the exam
83% of African American women scored a 1 on the exam, more than
twice the percentage for all women with this score (41%).
