[EDEQUITY]Resources for body images for teens

The National Organization for Women sponsors a Love Your Body day. This
year's just passed on Sept 19th. You can check their site for ideas. I
think they have a video that tackles the issue.

Also check with New Moon Publishing. http://www.newmoon.org/ They might
have something along those lines.

When I was in Girl Scouts (way before the computer patch came along) we
had
to sit down and list the things we liked about our body. We also grouped
into pairs and told each other 5 things we liked about the other person's
body. Most of us focused on facial features, but it was fun. Another
suggestion that I do with some moms and daughters is take full length
photographs of each person and cut and paste them together to make two new
people. It makes light of the images we have of ourselves and our moms
(the
mentors in this case)
I would love to hear how it turns out. It sounds like fun.

Take care,

donewith teen girls for a mentoring program? I welcome any and all
