An excellent resource for body image information is Dr. Mary Jo Kane,
Director of the Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sport, University
of Minnesota. You can reach her at maryjo@tc.umn.edu or write to her at 203
Cook Hall, 1900 University Avenue SE, Minneapolis, MN 55455.

Sports and physical activity for girls helps them to build a healthy body
image and appreciate their bodies for what they can do rather for how they
look. Dr. Kane is an expert in her field and is a strong advocate for girls
and women and a powerful ally to those working on gender equity issues.

"Laughter helps. It's like jogging on the inside."

Does anyone have any suggestions for body image activities that could be
done with teen girls for a mentoring program? I welcome any and all
suggestions.
Thanks.
