For any EdEquity subscribers who are or were considering attending AERA's
Research on Women and Education Conference, we are helping to get the word
out that after much deliberation the RWE board decided to cancel the fall
conference. Please help spread the word if you know anyone who was
considering attending. The meeting was originally scheduled for October
25-27 at The Embassy Suites in Linthicum, MD. The decision to cancel was
made based on the number of cancellations the group has already received,
and the continuing travel difficulties that may well have meant even more
cancellations.
The board is considering several options to replace this meeting, including
publication of papers and/or a smaller working group session. If you are
interested in following-up or have any questions, you may contact Evelyn
