Just as we disseminated information on how to obtain the report on the
Gender Equity Expert Panel Exemplary and Promising Programs, the U.S.
Department of Education reorganized its website and made the web
information we gave you incorrect!

You can find online information and a copy of this report, which identifies
11 promising and exemplary programs that promote gender equity in and
through education, in one of two ways:

1 - Go to the Department's URL (www.ed.gov) and use the search mechanism
(located in the upper right corner) to search for "ED/OERI/ORAD." This
will take you to the ED/OERI/ORAD: System of Expert Panels home page. Then
click on "Gender Equity Expert Panel."

2 - Go to http://www.ed.gov/offices/OERI/ORAD/KAD/expert_panel/gender.html

In addition, we would like to remind you that the Good Resources identified
by the Gender Equity Expert Panel can be found on the WEEA website
(http://www.edc.org/WomensEquity) by clicking on the appropriate selection
under Highlights.

If you would like to learn more about the panel and some of the lessons
learned in the process, see "The Gender Equity Expert Panel: A
Dissemination Model," by Lynn Fox and Patricia Ortman, which appeared in
the April 2000 special issue of "Equity and Excellence in Education"
devoted to gender equity. "Equity and Excellence in Education" is the
University of Massachusett's School of Education journal.
