Seeking Program Examples for NMSA Monograph
DIRECT INQUIRIES AND INFO TO KEYES, NOT THIS LISTSERV

Melissa Keyes and Barb Bitters from Wisconsin, with others, are writing a
monograph for the National Middle School Association on gender equity issues
at the middle school level. They are asking for middle school personnel to
share real life examples of programs or major activities on gender/sex equity
in middle schools. If you have implemented such a program or activity and
would like to apply to have its description included in the monograph, please
contact Keyes at the address below for a short outline of information needed.
Leads on programs you are aware of are welcomed as well.

Examples of programs considered for inclusion might include: sexual
harassment programs for middle school students; programs designed to
encourage either gender to take part in programs historically avoided by that
sex, such as science (girls) or family living (boys); programs set up to
address problems experienced primarily by one group of students, such as
discipline problems (boys) or early pregnancy (girls).
