To Ray's comment about changing attitudes. A similar discussion on NPR the
other day about sexual harassment went something like: Do we really care why
a person is doing the right thing as long as they're doing the right thing?
Do we care if it's out of fear of reprisal rather than out of personal
epiphany? And perhaps the answer is no. But that means we have to monitor
others for right behavior if their actions aren't based in attitude. I don't
people to believe what I believe, but I do want inclusivity and equity and
the adjustment to attitude that is required to achieve that.
