One use our teachers have made of Internet is an on-line press
conference. This press conference was focused on the AAUW Report
about sexual harassment and students were asked to comment on the
findings during the press conference which lasted an hour. There were
responses from students around the country. The teacher had a special
grant to conduct the press conference and he moderated the discussion.
I thought it worked out very well. After the press conference was
finished, the teacher edited the transcript and put it up on the on-line
bulletin board for all browsers to read.
