Hi Folks,
Educators for Equity, a student organization at the
University of Vermont, is planning a week-long "alternative
spring break" immersion at an appropriate public school
setting. This would consist of a small group (probably
6-10 education majors) traveling from our diversity-challenged
college in Burlington, Vt. to share in the chosen school's
education experience.
Ideally, we hope to find a school of ethnically diverse make-
up that genuinely integrates multi-cultural education and
racial equity practices in its daily curriculum. We also are
limited to a travel distance of a day's drive.
Our spring break will be the week of March 16-22, 1997.
If you can suggest such a school, please contact me at:
woetjen@moose.uvm.edu
or 802 864-7480
Yours in equity,
Bill Oetjen
