Eddie Davis here. This is not a complete answer to your question, but it
might be a 'little' helpful. Deborah Tannen, in her book, "You Just Don't
Understand," described several techniques she used to collect data on male -
female communication. One of those methods was to used video cameras, and
another method was to have boys and girls interact in settings with one-way
mirrors.
