We have a science-museum based enrichment program, several years old, for
the elementary-school age-group. Observations showed that boys dominate
the scene in these classes. In the fall we intend to start one
experimental all-girl class , for 7-9 years olds, from diverse ethnic
backgrounds. For authorization, we need references and research-findings on the
advisability of such single-sex science programs, short or long-term.
