I am a university professor at The Department of English, Eotvos Lorand
University, Teacher Training College, Budapest, Hungary. I have extensive
experience in teaching ( at all levels) and in educational theory.
Currently I am teaching language teaching methodology to prospective
English teachers and a women's studies introductory courses to the same
students. I am particularly interested in the ways how feminism has affected
views and theories about education.

Simultaneuously, I am studying at the Gender Studies Program of Cetral
European University, Budapest, Hungary (the first ever of its kind in the
region) and in the framework of my thesis I would like to research the
followings:
(1) beliefs about the importance and significance and role of education
as a tool of socialization,
(2) processes of gender role socialization inmside the classroom environment,
(3) the representation of gender in teaching materials,
(4) teacher-student communication

Also I would like to learn more about:
-how feminist theory and feminist pedagogy has influenced the discussion
of gender in education - both in theory and practice in Western cultures.

I would like to get some help in how to go about this research:
I would appreciate any suggestions regarding research methodology and
relevant literuture to read in the field.

Thanks

Eva Thun
