Hello All!

I recently joined your discussion list. I was hoping maybe someone
out there could help me.

First, let me introduce myself....

I am a student at Marist College in New York. I am currently enrolled
in an accelerated program in which I will receive my Bachelor's Degree
in Psychology - Elementary - Special Education AND my Master's Degree
in Educational Psychology in only 4 1/2 years.

At this point in time, I am trying to come up with a gender equity
related topic which I can study for a graduate course. The project
is very open-ended - quantitative or qualitative research.

I am looking for any ideas that you may have.
Originally, I thought of doing a study of elementary school students,
however I must finish the project during the summer. As a result,
I will not have easy access to students.

After a great deal of thought, I have decided that it would be
interesting to do a gender study in the college environment.

This is what I now need suggestions on.......
*possible topics
*Types of research - what types of research would I use <quantitative or
qualitative, etc.>
*Methodology <Survey, etc.>
*Current research availability to write a review of literature.
NOTE my limited time frame for completion......

Now - Possible topic
Next semester - January to May - Report Proposal
May - July - Implementation of study and completion of my project.

ANY IDEAS, SUGGESTIONS, OR RESOURCES WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Thanks for your help.

Sincerely,
Melani Bendfeldt
