Biological Gender Differences

I am studying gender equity in mathematics education, specifically at
the k-12 level, and am looking for any good resources on the biological
differences between boys' and girls' development at this age. I have
heard about articles that stress the developmental differences as
children grow, either in cognitive skills or spatial visualization, but
haven't found any definitive research. If you know of any good sources
for this sort of information, please send them my way. :)
