Massachusetts has a state equity law - Chapter 622 - it includes race, sex,
national origin and religion.... please contact the MA Dept of Ed for a
copy of the law/regs and evaluation instrument. it's been around longer
than Title IX - since 1971! It includes some provisions that Title IX does
not include - for example - that curriculum must be evaluated for bias and
stereotyping
