Mary: Wisconsin requires that schools celebrate a few days throughout the
year, one of whihc is Susan B. Anthony's birthday (school is not dismissed).
There are other women of importance to Wisconsin and the nation (Frances
Willard, for example), who are also on the list. I don't have the statute
book anymore, but contact Barb Bitters at the Wis. Dept of Public Instruction
