Barbara,

You didn't make me angry, but you did make me concerned. Your message is
a good example of how we, as equity advocates and feminists, sometimes
become offended by something that is not quite as equitable as we expect
and launch a counter-attack instead of trying to see what we can do from
the very beginning to help make that something more equitable. I think
that's dangerous for us. It's harder to win and keep alliances when
we're fighting everyone from the get go. I hope everyone will think
about that and I welcome responses either privately or on the list.
