I am searching for some startling statistics on women and nontraditional
employment that will gain the attention of teachers and help them to see why
it is important to focus on preparing young women for nontraditional jobs
through STW.

Some examples:
Only 16% of students taking the AP Computer Science exam are female.
Or: There were no females enrolled in the NE STW HVAC Academy in Omaha.

These are to be used for a national teacher training video and guide. State
or local examples are ok (versus national) if they will help make the point
of the need to prepare young women for trades, technology and science
careers. Please send statistics wih the source attributed or some way for me
to confirm them myself.

Thank you for your help.
