The problem sounds like a 1st Amendment prior restraint of free speech
violation. This has happened before when schools have tried to remove
books on sexual orientation or even classics like A Catcher in the Rye.
Pressure on the school board -- especially with a lawyer familiar with
these issues -- should get the policy reversed. Let me know if you need
