RE: advice for filing a Title IX complaint. I've worked in Title IX
compliance since 1975 at the local and state level in Wisconsin, and I've
never heard of a "state Title IX board" in any state. Perhaps Purrington
meant a state school board, which all states except Wisconsin have. Of
course, the state school board deals with state statutes, not federal, as
Title IX is.

You may want to check to see if your state has a sex discrimintation parallel
to Title IX. State procedures may allow for appeals to the state.

Title IX complaints are filed locally only (no appeal to the state) or to the
regional Office for Civil Rights.
