Thanks for adding to this discussion. WE do need opinions like yours that can
strenghten our conclusions that when women are exluded from curriculum and
discussion it ''pollutes the educational environnment of students'' specially
those
whose role models are being excluded''. My daughter is in the 5th grade and
NEVER
has any teacher since the first grade discussed women in any of their
curriculums.
The time it happened when Ingrid was in the 4th grade it was due to the fact
that we complained to the principal so they discussed one or two. This year
also due to our
complains her teacher had them do Abigal Adams but there was no ''real
discussion
of her''. He only had them take a picture of a one hundred dollar bill and
paste the face of Abigal. There was no discussion of how she contributed to
women's education.
