Jane -- Please provide more info. Is the competition part of the
educational system or is it like a general parks & rec type competition?
Title IX only applies to programs or activities of educational
institutions. However, many states have public accommodation laws than
can be applied to prevent gender inequity in city amateur sports
leagues. Give me more facts (like what state) and I'll try to help.
