Title IX extended to associations

FYI: The National Women's Law Center recently won a decision against
the NCAA in the 3rd Circuit. The case basically states that even though
the NCAA is not an educational institution and does not receive federal
funds, its members do.....and its members delegate their athletic
regulation responsibilities to the NCAA. The NCAA also receives dues
from these federally funded institutions, so the NCAA is an indirect
recipient of federal funds. The 6th Circuit made a similar finding in
the Horner case against the Kentucky High School athletic association.
Once again, the NWLC is cracking down those barriers!!
