Women & Disabilities Conference: Detroit

This conference may appeal to those interested in employment, education,
legal, and health care issues as they relate to the lives of women who
have disabilities. The dates are June 9 through 11, 1998 and the
registration deadline is fast-approaching. (Hotel conference block of
room is being released May 8th!)

Scholarships are available for women with disabilities, students with
disabilities (men AND women), and others documenting both need and a
vested interest in the issues addressed by the conference.

Ongoing Policy Work Groups covering: Health Care, Legal Issues, Employmen=
t and Personal Attendant Care; Plenary Sessions; and twenty-five
Break-out Sessions on such topics as "Managed Primary Care," "Disability =
Culture," Pathfinder & Trailblazers: Education," and "Self-Help Groups."

FEES:
Registration fees include two continental breakfasts, two lunches & two r=
eceptions. General rate is $300, Student/Paraprofessional $235 w/meal, $1=
25 without meals; Self Advocate/Parent $185 w/meal, $75 without; Personal=
Attendant, meals only $110. Late fee of $50 after May 8th.
