To clarify Megan Murray's reference to my book, "The Gender Knot," the
book is about much more than violence, although its approach is
certainly relevant to it. The Gender Knot is primarly about how to
understand patriarchy and our connection to it, and all that stands in
the way of seeing that clearly. It is especially devoted to finding
ways to look at and talk about issues of gender inequality without men
feeling so defensive that they won't participate in the conversation.
