I clipped the following announcement, elated to recognize the woman who
at age 10 filed a Title IX lawsuit represented by Equal Rights Advocates
of San Francisco, against sex discrimination in the California Youth
Soccer League. Because of her my daughter began to play soccer at age 5
and this year was the only freshman on her high school's varsity soccer
team. When she was six I found Amy Love's story in a book called
GirlSports, and read it to the team. If you can find that book, it is a
well-written collection of similar stories, a great educational
resource.
