The April 15, 1998 issue of Education Week (http://www.edweek.org) has an
article by Julian Weissglass (professor of math and director of the Cneter for
Educational Change in Math and Science at UC Santa Barbars) titled "The SAT:
Public-Spirited or Preserving Privilege" that I think you'll find very
informative on this topic. The article gives the history of the SAT and the
assumptions underlying its use.

I am wondering if anyone has any information/resources on facts that support
that the SAT should be dropped from admissions requirements because they are
biased and inequitable against minorities.
